Driving Directions

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is not currently able to provide transportation to and from Island Day. If students and their guests will require transportation to and/or from the event, please click here for information regarding local rental car, taxi, and city bus services.

The driving directions below are general directions from several locations within the state of Texas. To generate a more personalized set of driving directions, we encourage you to utilize the direction/mapping services provided through Mapquest. To locate the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi campus via Mapquest, please use the following address:

PLEASE NOTE: Check-in for all Island Day programs will take place at the University Center, which is Building #12 on the campus map.

From Corpus Christi International Airport
Exit the airport and take a right on to Highway 44 East, which will dead end at South Padre Island Drive. You will need to be in the right lane, to NAS-CC and Padre Island, and continue on S.P.I.D. (about 15 minutes) to Ennis Joslin. There is a sign on the highway marking the exit and route. Exit the highway and turn left on to Ennis Joslin and continue straight for about 5 minutes. Remain in the right lane and take the curve to the right at the Stripes gas station. Take the first entrance to campus and follow the directional signs posted to guide you to the University Center. Check-in will be at the University Center (#12 on campus map) from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

From Austin, Texas
Follow Interstate 35 south to Interstate 37 south, which will dead end on Shoreline Drive in Corpus Christi. Take a right and follow Shoreline Drive (which becomes Ocean Drive) about 15 minutes until it splits at a Stripes gas station. You will need to be in the left lane and continue straight to NAS-CC and TAMU-CC. Take the first entrance to campus and follow the directional signs posted to guide you to the University Center. Check-in will be at the University Center (#12 on campus map) from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

From Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
Follow Interstate 35 south to Interstate 37 south, which will dead end on Shoreline Drive in Corpus Christi. Take a right and follow Shoreline Drive (which becomes Ocean Drive) about 15 minutes until it splits at a Stripes gas station. You will need to be in the left lane and continue straight to NAS-CC and TAMU-CC. Take the first entrance to campus and follow the directional signs posted to guide you to the University Center. From Houston, Texas
Follow 77 south to Interstate 37 south, which will dead end on Shoreline Drive. From Rio Grande Valley/Kingsville, Texas
